    Specs/ g4 mac osx 10.4.7, Avid express pro 5.5
I bought $50 bucks for the update to 5.5, then registered it and recieved the dongle updater I downloaded the link from my email, and did all of the following things these are the errors I’m getting..
    Searching for *AA****…
    *AA**** could not be found.
in the dongle updater its missing an A cause my dongle serail # is *aaa****, I assume this is a problem? the updter is searching for the wrong dongle serail number..I assume this is an avid problem, that needs to be done by them, Or can i tweak this myself? I tryed countless times to get through to avid via email and by phone but failed on both ends(On hold for an hour, and email reply)..thanks to all who reply

One of our customers had the same problem. To fix this you have to send your dongle back to avid (via RMA)for an exchange.

I already contacted Avid warranty, and they confirmed my dongle was eligible for an updater via email, and I did not have to have my dongle replaced.
