  ProAnimator color banding problem

  The continuing saga…I’ve imported the Illustrator file and I’m applying a camera preset to fly by the logo. I’m using an Object Style that employs a gradient in the color (for reflectivity, I assume). Why do all of the object styles that have a gradient also have annoying color banding problems as the gradient changes? I’m using the highest quality settings possible, but can’t smooth this out. Is it the texture map?

  Hi Dave.

  I would guess you’re seeing a limitation of the texture map applied as a reflection map.

  You may need a higher resolution map if you’re seeing undesired banding.
