Does anyone know if it’s possible to monitor audio (solo) in your headphones with the Mackie 1202 VLZ? And if so, how?

    Thanks in advance.

There is no “solo” switching on a 1202.

If you are just doing a stereo mix (no 3&4) you could Mute the channel you want to hear and switch the monitor/phones to “Alt 3-4” but that would kill the channel in the mix, of course.

The 1202 is a pretty basic mixer. (And, a very good one for many applications.)

The Mackie 1402 does offer solo (and many more) features for not a lot more money.

You’re right, it is a good mixer and I don’t have any real complaints about it.

But no solo switch for headphones?… Seems like a feature that would be/should be on every model.

Just wanted to say that “yes”, there IS solo capability on the 1202 (VLZ, VLZ Pro, and VLZ3). It may even be switchable between PFL and Solo; I don’t know myself.

So, I don’t know what you guys are thinking of…it’s late and maybe I’m not getting something.

There is a PFL button, but as far as I can tell, that doesn’t solo your phones from your monitors. Am I wrong?
