Any idea why is it that when I copy a mask path into the write-on effects brush position, it starts the animation wayyyyy off center?
I’ve tried just about everything I could think of.
Tried making a new comp based on the size of the element, redid the mask making sure there were no mask points where they shouldn’t be, checked the anchor point…nothing seems to work, it simply demands that the brush position start at a seemingly random place and not directly where the original and first mask point was on.

Tried even precomping the element and throwing the write-on on top of that with yet another seemingly random starting location.

Any ideas on how to control where it starts?

    Thanks in advance!

Write on calculates brush position based on the dimensions of the Comp not the layer.

Precomp the layer you want and THEN mask it, copy the mask to the brush position and you should be fine.
