November 5, 2009 at 10:44 pmTry switching to adaptive resolution. At the bottom of your comp
preview is a little icon that looks like a lightening bolt and says
“fast preview” when you hover over it. Click this and select adaptive resolution.or you can do this from the menu:
After effects>preferences>preview

November 7, 2009 at 10:17 amOpen GL sucks for rendering.
i had this problem rendering one of my projects a few months back, just deleted my OpenGL plugin and i was back in business
you can usually find it at(whereever your AE is installed) > support files > Plug – ins > Extentions
try Deleting the OPenGL plugin from there and see if it makes any difference
good luck =] -

that deleting the plugin worked for me
after installing mavericks, in AE, color balance plugin is not working…keeps crashing…with the message that it is the opengl that is the problem. didnt even have it checked to use in the preferences…it was off, but still causing the problem.BUT your suggestion to delete the plugin WORKED!!!
Now color balance is working. hurrayThanks so much
