I’m making something for a friend of mine. He wants these videos sort of pan from left to right and I know how to make all of them move at once but I sort of want it to include as many videos as I can.

I don’t know what its called but I kinda want this sort of animation (around 0:12 to 0:19) https://youtu.be/jSnexb-ve7M?t=8 where they all move in a line

However I try to move it and one of the videos is cut off (which is probably to be expected.) the vid in question is on the most right.

Anyone know how to make something like in the video above but with more videos and stuff? Thanks!

Whoops. Forgot to say I’m using Vegas Pro 17.

Thought that posting in the Vegas Pro forum gave it away but oh well 😛

Hi Ethan! Mostly yes, but often people post here having different flavours of Vegas thinking that a response will give them solutions to their flavour.

OK, so am I VP17. Firstly that Media looks like Stills and not moving inside their frame? Correct? Secondly I’d explore Track Motion. Heaps of controls there.

    Hi.

They’re all videos actually. Had to take a screenshot hence why they look like stills.

I am using parent track motion to move all these vids at once. It just chops off the vid on the right as I try to move it.

You may also be able to use some of the transitions, depending on how you want your composition to come out. For instance panning from one photo to the next can be done with the transitions.

I’ve created a few videos with the Track Motion and keyframes as shown in your youtube clip there. It’s a lot of work though so I don’t do it so much anymore.

Hi Ethan! Forget the “Track Header Parent” stuff in this instance. Much easier and straightforward than that. Use Nested Veggies instead.

I’ve just created a Child Horizontal Stack and imported THAT into a Parent Veg and then I got busy with Track Motion. It works, and works very well:

    Start of Video Crawl:

    Middle of Crawl:

    End of Crawl:

So, think Nested Timelines and APPLY Track motion on those Nested Timelines in a Parent Veg. It works.

Here’s Vertical and Horizontal Crawls with a BnW Background.

    All Crawling, all Videos working.

[Ethan Nunn] “How do I make nested veggies?”

Hi Ethan! The VP17 Users manual explains it far better than I could.
    Read pages 54 through 56.
