Vegas file sizes for YouTube / Facebook etc
I am obviously doing something wrong. I shoot in 1920 x 1080 and render using the MainConcept 720 CODEC, but a say 1min 30 sec video still comes out at 200K plus? How can I lower this file size? (Australian Internet speeds are crap with an average if you are lucky of 2Mb/sec…)

File size relates to Bit Rate used within the rendering CODEC. The higher the bit rate the bigger the file. If the render CODEC BR has been selected with a high BR select a smaller one. What’s the BR you’re using to rendering to? You’ve got a file which comes out at 0.2mb. How much smaller do you want it to be?
Experimenting with different BR and checking the output is the only way to figure this out.

Thanks so much. Of course I had a finger typo… should have read 200+MB. But with your advice down to 8KB. Not perfect of course, but OK for FB etc…
