  Can we resize video in PLatinum HD 10.0?

  I’m using the trial version of 10.0.

  I have not been able to resize videos from the Panasonic GH1 from 1080i 30 to 720p 30. Have not trancoded.

  Need help. Is it possible? How?

  A lot of things are possible in Vegas.
  Why do you want to do this?
  What format do you want to render to?

  Hi Mike,

  Thanks for answering. I am trying to convert Panasonic GH1 AVCHD to WMV or MP4.

  AS you may know, the 1080p 24 video is coded as a MPEG2 (transport) 30fps interlaced. With Vegas Platinum, I can convert it as 1080i 30 to a MP4 or WMV (Quality VRB).

  Currently, I am trying to mix 1080 and 720 files in a project. It works fine after I have rendered the m2ts files into WMV. But, it balks when I use 1080 files that have not been rendered.

  Just wondered if it is possible (to cut the work flow) to work with the original m2ts files.

  Also, I was wondering why rendered AVI videos won’t playback in WMP (Vista OS). I assumed that AVI should since it is a Windows container?

  Solved the problem.

  Downloaded Microsoft’s Mats_Run.Codec to identify and repair the problem. But, it won’t install.

  So, I restarted the computer and it appears to have repaired the problem. Everything back to normal.

  I’ve never heard of Mats_Run.Codec but I’m glad to hear that things are working for you again.
