  • MPEG render yields no audio stream?

OK, Plug In issue resolved. Next trick. Tried to render a clip as MPEG-2. Video is fine, no audio when played in WMP and Nero ShowTime. Rendered same clip as AVI, then converted to MPEG using AVS Converter, OK audio, but video looks a little squished. I suspect codec issues. Any ideas?

What mpeg template are you utilizing? If you are using the DVD-A template (any of them) they do not include the audio so you do not have to reencode your audio (it should be saved as a seperate stream in AC-3 format). If you are not using the DVD architect templates you can choose to encode the audio with the video or uncheck the box to ensure it doesn’t.

Also, make sure your track mute property is not selected.

    “ahhhhhhhh” says the grasshopper…

The difference between a NLE program which holds one’s hand versus one with Great Power (and more opportunity to make mistakes). Humble Thanks, Sensei… 🙂
