  Loud volume-filter

  Hello!

  I’m trying to find a Vegas plugin that filter away the loud parts of an audio clip. Mainly what I will use it for is to remove the clamp sound of footsteps to make them sound sneaky. I’ve done an example of what I mean with some volume automation here:

  

  Is there any plugin that does this kind of thing? I’m not sure if it’s called filter or whatever, but it would make my sound designing a lot easier.

  Try using the track compressor which is automatically applied to all tracks by default. Just play around the threshold and the amount of compression. It can also be applied to specific audio events if you don’t it applied to the entire track.

  I tried using the track compressor, but it wasn’t of satisfaction. But now I actually found that my added plugin Izotope RX2 Declicker got the job done.
