  • Can I change one instance of a certain color in a video event?

Posted by Raymond Pace on April 1, 2015 at 3:11 pm

For example, pretend that this is an event on the Vegas timeline:

If I wanted to take all the instances of the color blue that occur in this event, and change them to a different color (white in this case is what I need), could I do so? If so, how?

    Thanks.

PS, please let me know if I didn’t explain clearly enough.

I WAS going to suggest the 2nd Colour Corrector. But this way beyond that. You havoc a ton of different blues all over he place. If you’re running VP 12/13, yes, the FX could be masked to the areas you want, but even so….

What if there was fewer blue in the video event? That was just an example? I should have used something closer to what I’m actually working on?

Would you mind explaining what I would do with the Secondary Color Corrector?

Well, I did a Tutorial on how to do a 2-Colour on Black using the Secondary Colour Corrector. Here’s that from 6 years ago:-

Would that help you? It may give you an idea . . . ?
