I am doing some text effects in AE for my DVD menu, and I am facing the following problems:
    Image hosting by IMGBoot.com
When I use the gradient effect , after effects dosen’t show the stroke, but when I change back to pure color, it does shown. Is there any methods to show both of them simultaneously?

Thanks for you guys answers and attentions

You didn’t mention how you are applying a gradient, and there are many ways to do that. It could be the “Gradient Overlay” layer style or the “Ramp” effect, as two examples. But in any of these cases it makes sense that you loose the stroke visibility, since these gradients are not text attributes but effects which are overlayed over an image. As a consequence, the gradient is composited over the whole text layer, including the stroke.

Yes, there are lots of ways.
One of these ways could be using the Stroke layer style instead of the stroke attribute for text.
