Having an odd crash occur with After Effects Cs4 MAC with the 9.02 update.

working along just fine, then the auto-save comes up and I get the spinning beach ball
    forever.

auto-save is disabled and yet it still does this.

I have 2 different machines, they both have this problem.

The systems are nehalems with 16gb of ram so i know its not lack of cpu or memory.

    Anyone?

This is happening with me, too. Very frustrating! Did you figure it out?

I was having the same problem – What worked for me was turning on the ‘allow scripts to write files & access network’ option in the after effects general preferences menu. Might be the cause if anyone else out there is running scripts & having the same problem…..

Was called to help a friend who had this problem – found this thread – and Iain’s solution seems to do the trick!

I hope Lain’s fix works. I just lost an hour of work. Thanks Adobe!

Turning on that scripts preference worked for me too, on a Mac Pro with CS4 (AE 9.0.3.2) – Thanks for the tip!

I’m on CS6, I have the same issue, both with Autosave disabled and Script access enabled.
