Been “bashing” it for an hour now. Render times look good. I applaud the SCS team for getting the Drag Chains from Plug-In Manager directly to event without crashing. I have the best part of 350 Chains within Plugin-Manager laid out in 3 Folders, I’ve just spent a delightful time dragging and dropping-off all sorts of chains from the 3 Folders into 29.970 fps progressive, 640x480x12, AVC, Events and all is presently solid as a rock. I shall now get back to my “usual” formats and try on them too.

Just rendered a 10 iPhone 29.971 fps progressive, 1280x720x12, AVC TO Lagarith AVI 1:30min project and it took 12 minutes of 10 Track

    2xTracks of Particle Illusion

2xTracks of the iPhone AVC with Invert and complex Colour Correction and Grading.

    1xTrack of NewBlue Titler Pro

    1xTrack of complex GenMed

    3xAudio Tracks with Elastique slow-down.

    1xAudio Track iZo Ozone

    Looking good.

    Grazie

What exactly is new with the update?
I’ve been out of touch for a while.

All I see is build 726 on your link. Any idea why I’m not seeing 765?

Build 765 is no longer available on the Sony site so they must have pulled it due to several complaints on the Sony Vegas forum.

This was very recently posted to the Sony Vegas forum by Chris Dolan from Sony.

765 was pulled after QA verified the MainConcept GPU render issues reported in this thread. Adding support for LPCM audio in the CPU code (as opposed to AAC) accidentally left the GPU code without any audio codec selected so it bailed out. The jump back to frame 0 that some of you saw was Vegas trying to recover in CPU mode, but still without any audio codec selected.
The fix looks simple (auto-select AAC for the GPU modes) so I predict a new update soon but please don’t hold me to that because it’s not my call!

I also commented that I was getting ZERO frame jump back on Render to the SONY MP4 encoder. However, the rendered file “appeared” ok for my purposes.

I can only applaud SONY’s new fresh approach to these quick responses and turnarounds on Vegas Pro. If they keep this vigilance tied-in to urgency going, then the future of Vegas Pro is looking good. They did this not long ago with the pulling of a build due to the Image Sequence going AWOL. In that instance the replacement BUILD was done in a handful of days.

So, Kudos where it’s due – yes?

    Cheers
