Looks like there’s an update to SVP 12–Build 765

I’m having some crashes on a project and just got a message in vegas saying
An update to Vegas Pro software is now available. Version 12.0.765 includes numerous fixes and improvements. That was today 11/21/2013
Should I go for this?
I’m using V726 right now.

Roger, To go back from 765 to 726 involves uninstalling 765 & clean installing 726 + you lose a life on your licence.

Reading this thread and a similar one on sony-vegas forums you would be well advised to stay with 726. However the choice is yours.

Had no choice when I built the new system as far as what what build was available. Steve any reason you have not upgraded to build 726, is there something in particular that has been problematic?

My personal preferenece is to never upgrade to the latest and greatest until it has been out on the market for quite some time. No interest in being a beta tester. Unpaid no less.

So build 765 is a dud? I thought I was going nuts after being notified and downloading it, then suddenly finding it was no longer on the d/l site. Luckily not installed, so I guess I dump it.
On another issue, has anyone loaded a .wav file into a media bin and then found the media window missing. (reinstalled and file loaded, so no problem except having to re-instate the media window

I am still on Vegas 11 as Vegas 12 has render issues with my multicam workflow. The video skips and jumps unpredictably when rendered out to DVD, WMV, M2T etc. Audio and video remain in sync, but I get these horrible jumps. Reported it to Sony and they closed the issue the moment they released an update. I gave up trying to reopen the ticket as they were determined to close it.

Vegas 11 is my stalwart, and the latest update for 11 fixed my instability issues with it.

Because both 726 and 765 builds both, still had newly risen issues,
and also for varied other vegas users. 714 is rock solid.
It pains me that with every new update, some issue that was not
present, suddenly appears. Its concerning.
