DVDA interesting finding
Just spent the last 2 hours trying to figure out why my burn to disc would fail with a message saying my disc was dirty or corrupted.
Initially, as has happened in the past I presumed I had a bad couple of blanks and chalked it up to that. But when it persisted I knew something more was happening. But what?Tried, rendering the project in Vegas and associated files all over again, and did the same in DVDA. Closed programs, restarted computer but nothing. Then I burned a prior project to disc and it worked. Now I was really grapsing at straws with this. So I decided to attempt again a burn to disc test and voila that worked.
Can it still be a disc issue???? Nothing makes sense, then for some reason I decided to check the properties for the disc and saw that the aspect was set to 4:3 not 16:9. Why that would be I have no idea but there it was. Certainly this could not be the source of a wasted 2 hours of work could it? Plus I haven’t worked in 4:3 for years so why all of a sudden now? Well it fixed the problem and I still have no idea why that would cause this or how it got like that to begin with.
There you have it…another gotcha
