Best way to convert this 3:2 to 16:9
I have some footage that is 3:2 (720×480 pixels square.)
I would like to convert this to a 640×360 (16:9 square pixel)and/or NTSC Widescreen (also 16:9 but I don’t know if the pixels are square) by cropping the top and bottom and narrowing the remainder.
I notice that when I use the crop/pan tool to do it, it seems like during times of motion that the footage becomes wavy. I used to think it was something with interlacing, but I believe it has more to do with the cropping/zooming based on some other research I’ve done.
I saw something about using a mask, but I can’t figure out how that would work. Is there a better way to do this? Thanks.
