I am trying to duplicate the specs from a FCP render for a TV station. These are their requirements.

    Container MPEG-TS
    Video Codec Mainconcept H-264
    Audio Codec MPEG Audio

    Audio:
    Sample rate: 48,000
    Bit rate: 256 kbit/s
    Layer: Layer II
    Psycho Model: Model 2

    Video:
    Size: 1920 x 1080
    Aspect: 16:9
    Frame Rate: 29.97
    Interlacing: Top field first
    Encoder Profile: High
    Entropy Coding: CABAC
    Color Space: 4:2:0
Quality: Deblocking filter yes, Adaptive interlacing
    Bitrate: CBR, 10,000 kbit/s
    Keyframe interval 15 frames
    B-frames 2
    Reference frames 2
    Force headers every GOP

When modifying a template for AVC 1920×1080 I cant force the format change (.mts) in the system tab. It is grayed out on all the templates.

Does anyone have any ideas here, or can you send me a render template?

    Thanks in advance,

    Jeff

Vegas Pro 12.0 handles templates a little different. Changes you were able to make in Vegas Pro 11.0 and earlier, can no longer be made in Vegas Pro 12.0.

If you use Sony AVC with the AVCHD 1920×1080-60i template, this will get you the closest. You won’t get MPEG-2 audio but you’ll get everything else once you lower the bit-rate to 10,000,000. Vegas will only render AVC/H.264 with AAC audio or Dolby Digital AC-3 audio, but not MPEG2 audio.
