Why Not Render Standard DV To Widescreen?
For a very long time I’ve been struggling with the pixelation issues when viewing my work on a PC monitor. Sure, it’s not perfect science but I’m not ready to invest in a real production monitor.
The goal is to eventually produce some in depth how to dvd’s that deal with hardwood flooring installation. Yep, that’s my forte. I’ve seen the competition and have never been pleased with the resolution on both PC and wide screen TV, not to mention lighting.
So with my constant tinkering I pulled out a dvd I did two years ago as a test. Widescreen was written on it. It looked a whole lot better than rendering to standard DV format in Vegas. No more annoying pixelation.
Does anything sound unusual about going this route? I think people would prefer better resolution over a stretched out video. Maybe I’m missing something here?
Thanks
