    how can you set the timeline to always load with the settings you like eg in 1 second allotment?

    Press “Ctrl+Shift+B to hide the Master Video Bus Track.

    You can set the timeline default to be “Seconds” but you can’t specify the resolution that is shown. The timeline always defaults to showing the entire timeline when it first loads. Then you have to zoom in.

    Go to File | Properties (Alt+Enter) and on the Ruler tab set the Ruler Time Format to Seconds. Then at the bottom of that window, check [x] Start all new projects with these settings and press OK. All of your new projects will start with the timeline ruler set to seconds.
