Does Sony Pro 9 have the ability to preview rendered material through a hdmi connector to display on a Large sony bravia TV?
My computer has an hdmi connector but I am not sure of its functionality.
When I went to preferences on preview devices I did not see the option of HDMI. I hooked the TV up to the HDMI from the computer, but did not see anything.

    Any help appreciated.

It should. Sony Vegas Pro 9.0 supports output via Windows Secondary Display so if Windows considers the HDMI output a candidate for the secondary display, then it should work.

Otherwise Vegas Pro also supports output via an AJA Io Express, Xena 2K, LH, LHe, LHi, LS, or LSe SDI, or a Blackmagic Design Decklink HD Extreme, Intensity Pro, or HD Extreme 3D SDI.

    “ability to preview rendered material”

You can ‘preview’ what is to be rendered in the time line.

Once the project is rendered you should use a video player application to play the video in your hdmi connected tv.
