    Hello all,

So, I recently started having a litle issue with Sony Vegas. I have quite a few projects that use a certain m4v clip and recently, when attempting to open (any of) these projects to work on them, Sony Vegas crashes before loading the project. It gives me the option to “send” the issue to SV and this is the stack dump:

Is there anything I can do? I’ve already tried opening the bak file and I’m currently attempting to convert the format to MJPEG, but even if I convert it, how would I open the file to change out the clips?

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

My sony vegas is 9.0 64 bit.
I have an 8-core Mac Pro with 16GB of RAM and I run Windows via Boot Camp.

    Thanks in advance,

    Chelsea

An “unmanaged exception” Windows error is almost always a driver issue. But if you have identified the offending piece of media, and replaced it with a transcoded copy, then just delete the old one. The next time you start the Vegas project, it will complain that it can’t find the media. You just provide the new media name.
