When i try to playback my Hd video in vlc player/windows Medie player it totally lacks?
    Is that a codec problem?
If so what codec am I to use and, how do you add them to Vegas pro 10?

[Allan Boes] “When i try to playback my Hd video in vlc player/windows Medie player it totally lacks?”

What do you mean by “lacks“? Can you post a screen shot?

[Allan Boes] “Is that a codec problem?”

It could be, or it could be a bit-rate problem. What codec and bit-rate did you use?

You shouldn’t be adding any codecs. Did you install any codec-packs? This could be why your video is bad.

I would use the Sony AVC codec with the Internet 1280×720-30p (or 25p for PAL) if you are planning to watch on your PC or the Internet.

Unfortunately none of those screenshots show the video properties. BTW, your audio properties are wrong. Audio for video should be 48K not 44.1K. If I were you, I would stop making my own templates and just use the built in templates that come with Vegas Pro.

Also, I still don’t know what you mean by “lacking”.

    Here they are 🙂

By lacking I mean that the vlc player stops the picture/sound all the time, and for that reason it cant play my videos made in Vegas smooth.

What are the best setting for rendering in HD,if i dont want to loose any Quality at all?

[Allan Boes] “By lacking I mean that the vlc player stops the picture/sound all the time, and for that reason it cant play my videos made in Vegas smooth. “

That’s because you are rendering uncompressed HD and unless you have a RAID 0 array with at least 5 drives you are not going to play this back smoothly. There is no reason to be rendering uncompressed video and it is certainly not a final delivery format that anyone can play smoothly.

I belive I already told you that. I would use the Sony AVC codec with the Internet 1280×720-25p template if you are planning to watch on your PC or the Internet. You shouldn’t see any noticeable loss in quality. If you do, just increase the bit-rate in the template.
