Hi im new here, so i got a problem. I wanted to test the quality of the new hdpvr i just got, so i put together some clips in sony vegas pro 10. But when i rendered in .mov file the quality was way lover than 720p, that it was before rendering. And when i rendered in .avi it got great quality, but it was lagging extremely much. Plz help

You don’t want to render to QuickTime as it won’t give you the best quality. Let’s make sure that you have everything set up correctly:

Your record settings on the HDPVR should be AVCHD format.

Your project settings in Vegas Pro should be: HDV 720-30p (1280×720, 29.970 fps)

Your render settings should be: Sony AVC with the Internet 16:9 HD 30p template.

That should make your renders look as good as the original.

Yes, so maybe try that the next time. AVCHD from the HD-PVR edits better in Vegas.
