Vegas 10 Level issues
I have a 64 bit system (Windows 7) with 12Gb RAM & Many terrabytes of HD space. I shoot in Panasonic P2 (1080i) and edit using DVFilm codec. I edit on Vegas 10c. I tend to do all of my editing in 8Bit processing to start off as it is faster, however when I try and final render material I change the processing to 32bit full range. This immediately depresses the picture, the black level drops to 0% and the luminance drops to about 75%. I tried converting the material to Sony MXF files, but the problem remains. My current project was mostly shot on a Panasonic HVX204E, with some material coming from a little sony handycam (AVCHD,) a bit of video off my Canon 7D and stills. I am using New Blue Plug ins to change colour,. boost gamma and change contrast/brightness. (I would say that this is driving me crazy, but my beloved would indicate that I was crazy to begin with!) Does anyone have any suggestions? Anything!?. (I would consider jumping off a bridge, but the bridges in the area are too short and I would just land in hospital, which would prolong the agony)
The pictures look fabulous but I do want to have a final product which will be of the higest qualityTaking pictures is not a job, it’s a passion!
