Some hours ago I have finished an mpeg2 rendering of a project that took two days.

Now, I discovered a mispelled title overlayed for two seconds on a clip.

Do you know an easy way to edit those two seconds and avoid another two-days campaign to render everything to DVD Architect video stream?

I have the original project with all the media and I have the just rendered mpg file.

    Thanks.

When I have done that, I re-render out only the part I messed up and then create another project, bring in both the full-sized bad clip and the small fixed clip, line them up and re-render the project using the same format as the full length bad clip. This will allow it to smart render a new clip and only need to make any changes to the fixed part. Hope this helps!!

    Thanks.

I thought of that way but I was not sure.

In fact, I still am not.

I put the .mpg bad file, the one previously rendered as DVD architect video stream, on the timeline of a new project and on the track above I put the two seconds good clip (rendered as avi uncompressed).
I set the project as the original one (DVD Widescreen PAL None (progressive) and deint. method “interpolated” and set the mainconcept rendering the same.

I’m getting a rendering speed of about 1 min of clip (1%) in one minute of time, where there are no corrections.
I did expect a far faster “encoding” speed for the unrouched sections: how do I know if Vegas is decoding + re-encoding everything instead of just the edited parts?

    Thanks.

    Fabio.
