Match Aspect ratio
Ok I have a problem. Saturday I drop still pictures on the time line right at 90. I then Set the “ match aspect ratio” in the first picture. Under Properties/ Switch I then set the “reduce interlace flicker“ Click the next picture and “select events to end” and then “paste events attributes”. It work fine every picture was just right.
On Monday I again dropped close to 150 pictures. I did the same thing again, as stated above. Only this time I did not get the same results.
The 1st picture that I set up and copy is just fine. The second picture when paste from the 1st picture is just fine, but in the 3tr to the end I do not have “match aspect ratio”. I do have “reduce interlace flicker” all the way to the end.
I can drop any picture from 1 to 150 and set the “match aspect ratio” I just cannot copy and paste. I am well aware that I have clicked something, but what I don’t know.
Please help me. I just cannot think what it might be. I am working with Vegas Pro 8

What do you mean by “Match Aspect Ratio”. I believe it is “Maintain Aspect Ratio” switch or you talking about “Match Output Aspect” command in Pan/Crop window?

Since you are working with Vegas 8 you don’t have the “Automatically crop still images added to timeline” option, which Vegas 9 has 🙁
Paste Event Attributes copies the Pan/Crop settings “as is”, so if your images are different in size – they will NOT be matched to the project aspect ratio.
What can you do? You can use scripts for this. For example, Vegasaur contains Match Output Aspect one-click command (and many other useful tools) that will do it for you. You can freely use it for 30 days.
