Vegas Pro 8 sound editing
Posted by Jesse Davenport on August 30, 2010 at 10:57 amOkay, so I’m working on a project and there’s this sound effect I really like, but it’s more dominant on the left speaker than the right, is there a way to make it play out of both speakers?

August 30, 2010 at 1:24 pmYou can isolate the sound on it’s own track and use the Pan control to move it back into the center or you can insert a Pan Envelope on the track that it’s on and add keyframes to pan just that event back into the center.

Right-click – Channels – Combine. -

Right-click – Channels – Combine. That’s a good idea too but combining them may cause phase cancellations. You could make it mono by just using the louder of the two channels if both have the same information just one louder than the other.

August 31, 2010 at 10:24 amI’ve tried moving it to the center ant the left side is still more dominant. When I move it all the way to the right it sounds muffled, like there is no sound coming from the right side.

It’s now a mono signal coming out of both channels at the same level. -
