Okay, so I’m working on a project and there’s this sound effect I really like, but it’s more dominant on the left speaker than the right, is there a way to make it play out of both speakers?

You can isolate the sound on it’s own track and use the Pan control to move it back into the center or you can insert a Pan Envelope on the track that it’s on and add keyframes to pan just that event back into the center.

Make it a mono event instead of stereo.
    Right-click – Channels – Combine.

That’s a good idea too but combining them may cause phase cancellations. You could make it mono by just using the louder of the two channels if both have the same information just one louder than the other.

I’ve tried moving it to the center ant the left side is still more dominant. When I move it all the way to the right it sounds muffled, like there is no sound coming from the right side.

In that case, Right-click – Channels – Left Only.
It’s now a mono signal coming out of both channels at the same level.

That did it, thank you so much!

I’m still curious as to why the original sound file was messed up but at least it finally worked out for you.
