    hey guys..

    i have a problem…
i have an illustartor file with about 200 layers…all small quads (like pixels) those need to be animated randomly in opacity and scale..
is there the possibiltiy to make one “master” expression that effcts all the other layer?? or do i have to add the same expression to all 200 layers?

    thanks in advance!

    greets

A particle system seems to me to be a better option. For a script-based solution, Expressions may slow down due to the number of layers. Perhaps a Javascript solution will be better – one that provides for Expression controls for speed and other choices that you may want.

For script-based solutoins, you may have better answers at the COW’s AE Expressions Forum.

For a particle system solution, you’ll have to provide more clues as to what the squares look like and how they move and how their opacity adjusts.

    Good Luck
