This beginner effect emulates the laser eyes visual effect from characters like Superman from movies and television. This effect does not require any plugins or a green screen.

Our tutorial just uses built in Final Cut effects such as simple transform and keyframes. It can be achieved with only an iPhone and a computer with FCP. The same steps apply if editing on Premiere Pro.

This VFX effect can be used when filmmaking and be included as a fun gag in your own films! You can also take it a step up and make it cinematic with sound effects (sound fx).
