Strike: Writers Guild of America West and Writers Guild of America East

Per the IATSE weekly update:

As you are no doubt aware, the Writers Guild of America West and Writers Guild of America East have failed to reach an agreement with the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers (AMPTP) and have initiated a strike.

Every IA member has legal rights during the WGA’s dispute with the companies. A review of the major IATSE collective bargaining agreements in the film, television, and commercial production industries was emailed to members of the MPTV Locals on April 28, 2023. This should be reviewed before participating in any solidarity actions.

IATSE unequivocally supports the WGA in their collective fight to win a fair contract on behalf of the talented workers they represent. IATSE Members who wish to participate in WGA actions can find a List of locations at the WGA Strike Hub.
