Sonnet Echo Dual NVMe Thunderbolt Dock

A second new model to be launched at the 2023 NAB Show will leverage the company’s current Echo 11 Thunderbolt 4 Dock’s design to add direct HDMI display connectivity, while the third new dock will support connecting three 4K @ 60 Hz HDMI and/or DisplayPort® displays. Sonnet’s docks enable users to connect multiple peripherals to their laptop, mini, and all-in-one computers through a single cable connected between the dock and computer. With the addition of the new models, Sonnet provides users with the broadest selection available of docks for computers with Thunderbolt 4 and Thunderbolt 3 ports.

NEW: Pro Rackmount and Thunderbolt™ to PCIe® Card Expansion Systems for Mac Studio™ Computers

At the 2023 NAB Show, Sonnet will showcase its RackMac Studio and xMac Studio professional rackmount systems for Apple® Mac Studio™ computers. Both products are 3U in height, fit in standard 19-inch equipment racks, and provide open access to the computers’ SD card slots and front and back ports.

Sonnet RackMac and XMac Studio

The RackMac Studio is a compact rackmount enclosure to install and secure one or two Mac Studio computers. With its 9.5-inch mounting depth — plus firm rubber cushions that securely hold the computers in place during transport — RackMac Studio is ideal for use in shallow molded rack cases, fly racks, or most any travel rack. RackMac Studio provides space beneath each computer to house compact, portable Thunderbolt™ or USB SSDs (sold separately) behind access panels and secure them with supplied adhesive-backed magnets.

Sonnet Echo 5 Thunderbolt 4 Hub

Designed for professional workflow expansion, the xMac Studio consists of a 16.5-inch-deep rackmount enclosure which securely holds a single Mac Studio plus a Thunderbolt™ to PCIe® card expansion module that adds PCIe card slots to the computer, connecting them via a Thunderbolt cable. Available with a one-, two-, or three-slot expansion module, xMac Studio enables users to connect to their Mac Studio, the pro audio I/O and DSP cards, pro video capture, and transcoding cards, and other high-performance PCIe cards required for their workflows. The xMac Studio includes adjustable extension rails to support its installation into racks 16 to 24 inches deep, and like the RackMac Studio, provides space beneath the computer to house SSDs (sold separately) behind an access panel and secure them with supplied adhesive-backed magnets.

NEW: Ultra-high Bandwidth, Multi-Thunderbolt™ Bus Additions to xMac mini Server, xMac Studio, and DuoModo™ Lines of Thunderbolt™ to PCIe® Card Expansion Systems — Designed Specifically for the Pro Digital Video Market

The current lineup of expansion systems from Sonnet features two- and three-slot PCIe® card systems, which connect to a single Thunderbolt port on a computer. The new two-slot PCIe card models to be shown at the 2023 NAB Show are designed to support the increasing bandwidth demands of contemporary video I/O cards used in digital video systems and leverage the Apple Mac Studio™ and Mac mini computers equipped with M1 and M2 processors. These computers feature Thunderbolt ports equipped with independent busses, providing up to 2880 MB/s of bandwidth to each. Each PCIe card slot in the new Sonnet systems connects to its own Thunderbolt interface — and requires its own connection to the computer — to support pro video capture and transcoding cards with as much bandwidth as Thunderbolt can offer.

Recent Additions to Popular Product Lines

Sonnet will also showcase recently released products at the 2023 NAB Show, including three NVMe SSD PCIe adapter cards, plus a professional dual-slot Thunderbolt™ media card reader.
