New AJA openGear 12G-SDI audio and HDMI conversion cards

While at IBC 2023, AJA Sr. Product Consultant Abe Abt and Matt Robbins from KitPlus spoke about AJA’s latest openGear 12G-SDI audio and HDMI conversions solutions. The new cards pack the functionality of popular AJA Mini-Converters into the convenient, resilient, and scalable openGear rackframe form factor.

In the interview, Abt and Robbins first provide a closer look at the OG-Hi5-12G, a 12G-SDI to HDMI converter, and the OG-HA5-12G, an HDMI to 12G-SDI converter. Both support up to 4K resolution, 60 frames per second, and 4:4:4 video chroma subsampling, and have SFP slots for fiber needs.

Next, they cover the AJA OG-12G-AM and AJA OG-12G-AMA embedders/disembedders. OG-12G-AMA is an 8-channel analog audio embedder/de-embedder and OG-12G-AM is a 16-channel AES/EBU audio embedder/disembedder. Both support 12G-SDI input and output up to 4K/UltraHD.
