Probably Adobe paying CNN to adopt Anywhere ? And how does it interface with a Newsroom Automation system ?

Thanks Alex and Ankit for the valuable answers 🙂

Not the kind of answers I like to hear but I guess if things sound too good to be true, they usually are, at least at this juncture.

The lack of I/O support is the biggest bummer to me here.

And I don’t suppose VCA supports dual monitors which is a common setup in the industry ?

btw Ankit, are you from Nvidia ?

Lenovo Y510. The only laptop with dual dedicated GPU. Would be great for DaVinci,

    Hi, Mike

Thanks for your reply. My response to Thayalan was actually in sarcasm.

I prefer to check my video output on a properly calibrated external monitor but I guess most Vegas users don’t judging by the lack of info in here and elsewhere.

    Precisely my point, Michael.

I’m just puzzled at how BorisFX could just sit still with Media-100 on it’s hands. It could merge Media-100’s code with Red’s and Continuum’s and have a Media-100 844/X that can well be a Smoke-killer. Most broadcasters I know use Boris plugins on a regularly basis so this is simply a no-brainer.

In hindsight, many vendors actually contributed to Adobe’s and Autodesk’s stronghold in the professional-video/broadcast industry by playing nice with them instead of competing.

    Thayalan,

Your kind of answer is precisely why Vegas is not highly regarded in the professional video industry.

    – Do you monitor your color-correction on your PC screen ?
    – Do you check for anomalies on your PC screen when chroma-keying or when applying other effects?
    – Can you assure your titles are within safe-area ?
