though I can’t find the ‘maximum quality’ option where it should be, the little button whith 4 lines and an arrow opens only to : ‘use previwe files’,’include source XMP metadata’, and ‘file info’… am i looking in the wrong place?

sorry, reading your answer again, i get that you were saying i should export it to mpeg2 dvd and then put them in encore. but i keep my question on the hdv/sd sequences and the ratio difference…

What if the edited clips are not all in the same sequence? I couldn’t export directly through encore in this case, could I? The sequences have the same settings it’s just that the audio mixer levels are different.
What would be the way to do it if not directly to encore? should i paste everything into a DV PAL widescreen sequence and use UpRez to adapt the frame size? Or can i just export the hdv sequences to mpeg2 sd, and if so, i think there’s a ratio difference between the 1.33 of 1440×1080 and the 1.25 of 720×576 that would leave me with a black bar at the bottom of the screen…
