    It is much easier to merge shapes in PS. If its a “shape”, you’ll have to rasterize it first, duplicate them, adjust them to the positions you want, and flatten(Ctrl+E) them together. Whereas in Illustrator, you will have to duplicate, and and adjust, and use the pathfinder to merge them together. Kudos!
