I’ve seen a job like that done using Red Giant Warp plugin to import the tracking data from Mocha in a much smoother way than the AE corner pin does it. Maybe you should give it a try.

That’s too bad, I don’t know of a way to save from CS5 to CS4 though.
Personally I don’t know enough about Flash to tell if you can get similar results. You sure the Eran Stern way doesn’t work for you ?

I did the same exercise a couple of weeks ago and followed Eran Stern’s tutorial with the paint strokes. You have to make sure the different shapes are pasted as paint strokes on the same brush and keyframe them on the brush path, that way the interpolation between the different shapes will happen.

Sorry, I didn’t see your response until now..
I ended up using paint stroke morphs, as I’ve seen on Eran Stern’s tutorial

This way I morphed a brush-stroke painted map into a word that was also painted,
and faded that out into a real text layer. I added force motion blur because the motion blur wouldn’t work.
It ended up looking not too bad.

But I still want to try the mask interpolation way you’ve described, it might lead to different looks.
