    Hey there,

I’m assuming that you’ve found a workaround by now, but I came up against the same problem and found a bit of a work around with the issue.

I basically opened a new project in Resolve, set the new frame rate (23.97), imported all my RAW BMCC files again, and then imported an EDL (not XML), and it worked. My cut from Premiere linking to the RAW BMCC files.

And yeah, I realize now Premiere does BMCC RAW now… sigh. 🙂

August 6, 2012 at 2:40 pm in reply to: media pending

I’m having the same situation… But it’s not reconnecting… At all. The display screens just all read Media Pending, even though there’s no activity going on in the bottom right corner. Any advice on this? I’m looking everywhere and can’t find anything, aside from clearing the media cache, etc…

    Any help would be appreciated.

Here’s a still I snapped off the blu-ray playback. Apologies for not being able to get better quality, but you can see the red banding all over his face. I’m not sure what the deal is – tried exporting through compressor and AE with various Blu-Ray formats, and am still getting this every single time. It’s not present in the source file, so I’m really puzzled as to where this is coming from.

July 13, 2011 at 3:17 pm in reply to: After Effects CS4 Crashing on certain frames

    Hi Michael,

Thanks for getting back to me. The footage was originally shot on Canon DSLR – so it WAS H264. From there it was logged and transferred into Pro Res 422 HQ, and after color correction was outputted as an Uncompressed 10-bit QT Movie file. So all the video in the composition, is uncompressed 10-bit QT.

I know that’s overkill in many ways, especially since I started off with DSLR source footage (I’m still learning). But I have had no issues in the past rendering out projects 4 times the size in the same codec. So I don’t know if that would be an issue.

November 13, 2009 at 12:20 am in reply to: adress single points of masks?

I’m looking to track masks with RotAE, but I’m having some issues. I have two people sitting near a window. I’m looking to create a mask around their faces, so I can have rain falling on the window.

I create the mask between the two faces which covers the window – and set it to Subtract. Select the mask and open RotAE. From there, with the mask selected, I click on Apply Tracker.

Here’s where the issues start. For some reason when I press the play button to Track the points, four or five points automatically just move to the middle of the window.

Occasionally this problem happens later when I Apply Mask with the Mask and Tracker selected.

I’m not sure what the issues is… Could it be that I have too many points? Or maybe that I’m not selecting things that are clearly trackable? But still, the points just move right to the centre. It’s usually the first few points and the last few points that do this.

    Please, someone HELP!!!

    Thank you,
    Yaz
