“Why do you think the clip is drop frame?”

VLC and a subtitling app both say that the original video is DF. I just need for the timecode to reflect this.

The display is colon, not semicolon. As is the timecode.

The original clip is in DF. In FCP, I just open the clip and lay the timecode on it.

I need the TCBI to be in DF, as the movie is in DF. The TCBI is in NDF.

I need to see a TCBI which reflects the 29.97 nature of the video. How do I go about getting that?

Looking at it frame by frame, the timecode goes up by 01 frame at a time.
