Add your comp to the render queue. Select the pulldown arrow next to “Output To”. Select “Custom”. This brings up the “File Name Templates” dialog. Add properties that you want in your file name, give the preset a name, and save.

Now your custom naming template will be in the “Output To” pulldown list.

Are you doing a RAM Preview? If so, does the info window say “Mixing audio for preview” when you start the preview?

Try the the text animation preset “Typewriter”. It’s in the …Preset->Text->Animate In folder
