Thanks, I have used that in the past but for some reason i keep getting a ghost/double image effect with h.264 which is reduced by soronsen but still visible. anyone know why this is? its not the shutter speed when filming as its not visible in FCE when working on the project or when viewing from the camera and also filming between 500 and 5000 so it wont be that.

any ideas? thanks

Im playing it back on my Macbook which is for sure powerful enough for it as i film with the sony z1 and the raw footage is fine in FCE.

Im using soronsen because i heard the compression was really good and been looking for something that produces a nice quality video.

Do you know of something that would work better?

sorenson video 3 pro codec
sorenson 2 pass VBR
10, 000 Kbps data rate (size came out at about 250mb which was good)
frame size 1280×720
frame rate/frames per second 1:1
bidirectional frames allow
key frames every 100 frames
auto key frames on scene change- frequent 100
image smoothing

when exporting out of FCE it was straight to quicktime movie so there was no settings to choose from.
It comes out as 1.76GB for a 3 min video.

Exporting out of Final Cut Express as a quicktime file then importing into Soronsen Squeeze
HDV-.MOV in final cut express and .mov-.mov in squeeze so no change.
It is for internet playback
