  • Todd,
Thanks for your response. Yes, it is only happening with PP and AE. I also run Maya and Houdini on this machine running sims to test the cpu (no overclocking yet) and no BSoD. I am beginning to suspect that it isn’t an AE or PP issue but there is something about the two that is triggering the crash. I ran a memory test last night and everything is fine with the memory. The CPU temps are fine too. 78c under load. The CPU is water cooled by a 360mm radiator.

I saw a post about PP and AE needing more voltage per core. I did some initial overclocking tweaking today and it seems that PP and AE is working as expected so far. I didn’t really push the overclocking envelop that much at this point. We’ll have to see. Not having much fun with this build.

Thanks to Bill Hunt and his article and tread about corrupted fonts, I was able to find a solution. Actually, it wasn’t a font problem it was an obscured ppro 5.5. file that was bad. Bill included this in his thread. The file: “workingset.prsl” found in mydocuments/adobe/premierepro/5.5/styles folder.

I first moved the file out of the folder and started premiere pro 5.5 titler. It started fine without any issues. I was able to open my previous projects that involved titler that I was not able to open before. The file regenerated itself in the styles folder. I can delete the old prsl file.

Yes, I have installed 5.5.1 updates. What really puzzles me is that the titler works in 5.0 but not in 5.5.1. I am looking to see if I have any corrupted of bad fonts. But I didn’t load any fonts or make any changes to the system or programs. One night everything works and then 8 hours later titler doesn’t work. I am open to any suggestions.
