    Sathish,

Perfect! That’s exactly what I’m looking for. I’ve watched the first video so far, and will follow that tutorial to get my desired effect. Will also check out the second one, as you suggested. Thank you again for pointing me in the right direction, and take care….William

  • Gotcha…I’ll give that a shot, but to fit as many of the individual images inside the comp size (of say 720 x 480), then the size of the Photoshop canvas is going to be enormous, say about 4272 (width of each image) x 30 (number of images) by 2848 (height of each image) x 30 (number of images), right? I understand your logic…it makes perfect sense…just working w/ a canvas that size in PS and then zooming out the camera about a 3/4 of a mile in AE didn’t dawn on me….

Thanks again for your suggestions…I’ll try it….William

  • Jacob,
Thank you very much for your input. Your wiggle suggestion sounds like it may be just what I’m looking for. I’ll try it and see if the outcome suits my needs. Again, thank you very much. I appreciate it….William

  • Dave,
Thank you for the response. I appreciate it. They’re aren’t a sequence of a movie file….they’re just several photos I want to import. I knew how to get them into the project file (thanks for the help, though), I was just hoping that there was a plug-in or something that would take my “assets” and randomly move them about the composition ‘window’ (right term???) so that there’s some motion to them (kinda like that iphoto slideshow) without me having to create all the keyframes for the transitions for each and every image file. I know…kinda lazy on my part, and I could really use the experience working w/ AE again (it’s been since 5.0 that I’ve worked w/ it), but if there was a shortcut for these images to float around on the screen, I was hoping for it….Thanks for the help, and take care….William

  • Thanks Tim….I appreciate your input….

  • Tim,
Thank you very much for the input. I really appreciate it. Question for ya…strictly for backup purposes, what kind of configuration can you suggest for importing from the dv camera to premiere, then exporting to be saved on an external (or internal) hdd? In other words, how can I most closely keep the same quality video/audio that the footage was shot in from the camera onto the computer? No compression at all, ie….Thanks again….William
