In my role as Instructional Technologist at Northwestern University I am supporting the School of Professional Studies – Distance Learning by building structured learning environments for online students, and preparing multimedia pieces associated with graduate level courses in their final stage of production.

My responsibilities include:

• Working collaboratively with team members and faculty to select appropriate tools/techniques to create course assets and course sites
• Conducting research on educational technologies, game theory, techniques, and trends in the field of distance education
• Staying familiar and up to date with commonly used educational tools and platforms at NU
• Developing relationships with other technology professionals at NU and outside vendors
• Communicating with faculty, program managers and others within NU.
• Troubleshooting technical course issues with faculty and other IT staff.
