Yes there is a slight light loss but I’m throwing in 4×5 NDs to open up the iris to a f4 to decrease depth of field so I light accordingly. The point is I can use thirteen lenses that were sitting around.

The deck should be agnostic. Not sure why it wouldn’t work. I you asking about deck control?

Actually not all EF cameras can take an EF-S lens. My 5D MKIII cannot mount an EF-S. The reason is the mirror would hit the back of the lens as it protrudes further into the camera to cover a smaller AP-C sized sensor. The mounts look similar but are not the same.

I don’t think you can use EF-S Lenses on a Full frame camera. I don’t think you can even mount it.

I have a fresh in stall of OS and FCP Studio 3 which puts me at FCP 7.0.3 with all the updates.
I get the same message with all the files. It wants to update to a newer version but when I hit OK, I get an error message that the version of the file is newer than I’m trying to update to, which is not possible as I have updated FCP 6 files to FCP 7 in the past.
Perhaps the files are corrupt? Maybe zipping them? If anyone has any suggestions, this should be straight forward.

What version of FCP 7 was the file saved in?

I tried both versions with a fresh install on a system dedicated to Final Cut Pro Studio 3 (FCP 7.0.3).
I get a message (paraphrased) “the project was created with an older version of FCP would you like to update the project.”
I try to update and I get a message “The version you are updating is newer than the version of FCP.”
So no go here so far.
