thanks for the feedback, i do want to know about my flaws though because this is my first fcpx project, it would be very helpful to know what i could improve on.

english subtitles for a german song, great idea, but a little trouble some, i think some phrases would sound really idiotic translated directly but i’ll give it a shot, haven’t tried the caption function yet on youtube, but i’ll see if i can use that to add subs.

i shot the entire footage with my canon 7d, and yes i don’t own any special effects or filter, i think i overused color correction though for this video. especially in the green screen scenes, i used 3-4 color correction layers giving it that almost anime level color (can i call those layers / sorry i’m still new to the software, the entire process was basically learning by doing). fcpx’s color correction is truly amazing!

sadly, i don’t own after effects nor have i ever worked with it, all i’ve got is final cut. is it possible to create that kind of spotlight background without after effects?

yes i noticed, i have been able to key it pretty nicely with fcpx keyer. it’s not film studio ready but i am pretty pleased with it. the only problem i had was the white on her jacked had a strong yellow tan after i was done with the keyer. which made me have to contrast up the entire shot to get it back to being white.

which is pretty much a given in my case, when filming in a room that small and my subject is moving back and forth i-regularly.

i only have the canon 7D, so i can’t shoot in anything else. what can i do to improve my footage with the camera i have? i just set up my green screen room and actually intend to shoot quite a bit in there.

i shoot at F6.0, i’ll try to turn it up a notch.

i have a canon 7d, just got it a week ago, it’s set to the highest resolution. i guess i’ll have to google how to set aggressive aperature correction, so i can reduce it. sounds confusing but i’ll look into it. i’m shooting on the highest resolution with the camera, at 1,920 x 1,080. the picture above is zoomed in to 200%, but i get the feeling the image is way clearer and more in focus when i record it then it is when i throw it into final cut pro.

how would i add primary green to the screen? with a green sheet over the light? with 2 backlights you mean i should have 2 pointing at the screen and 2 pointing at the subject from behind?
