why confused? the question is very straightforward: I want to replicate “exactly the same algorithm” used in Glow.aex…

I don’t want to write “a plugin” for After Effects itself… but I will do “exactly the same algorithm” for another program…

I thought something similar as you said: “try and deduce the algorithm by looking at what the effect does to individual pixels of various luminosity and color”

BUT BEFORE I do this… I got down here to ask if somebody knows a “shortcut” for the algorithm… so, this is the reason I am asking it here… if I don’t find the answer I will do something close to your advice for sure 😉

When I say ‘replicate “exactly the same algorithm” used in Glow.aex”‘ I mean that I will code a program [C++] that will do the same thing. But totally without After Effects… I am working with image processing in this case.
