    Depends on your usage… If you are looking to an NLE platform that can perform basic operations, then Platinum would be good enough. If you want to do compositing, keying and other complicated stuff quiet often, then Pro is needed.

    Not that Platinum cannot handle these but, workflow on Pro is better suited for the rigour of studio work.

    Kindly note that, I recovered the files from the formatted drive and the recovered files are shown in widows explorer in MP4 format. These files are not opening in VLC media player

    I cannot open the recovered footages in VLC / quicktime/ windows media player. In vegas pro 9e, I can see it in the explorer but cannot pull it to the timeline / project media list.

    Hi Greg,
    Thanks for the note. I see 4 softwares in the calibrated software site, which one should I be looking for. Sorry, I think I fried my brain as well in the format episode… very worried and tensed

    In such situation, I have always rendered out to DVD again before I burn the DVD disk. I will be glad to know if I am doing it right or can the Blu-Ray render be used
