Erm – 44.1kHz – CD format sample rate

I pointed out that you are not supposed to dither audio more than once, so if I dithered down to 16bit/44.1k – and then the audio was further processed, it could add noise. The editor wasn’t sure if there was any further dithering within Final Cut, or when the finished DVD files are sent off to the pressing plant. Just wanted to be safe. Thanks for your help guys

Thanks for the reply – 24bit 48k it is – still a little dithering involved, but I’m guessing the noise floor will still be quite low
